Week Eight

Lone one another... (1 John 3:23)

"May you experience the truth that he, Christ, looks upon you with love!" --Pope John Paul II, Dilecti Amici

Think About That

Looks are a powerful thing. The way someone looks at you sends all kinds of messages to you. You know the difference between someone who looks upon you with love or care or concern and someone who looks upon you with dislike or anger or envy. Well, Jesus always looks upon you with love, everyday!

Take Action

This week be conscious of how you look at other people--at home, in school, at work (if you work), and around your community. What are you thinking when you look at the different people you encounter this week? Each time you look at someone, look at him or her with a sense of care, concern, or joy in your heart. Notice how you look at them differently if you do this than you would otherwise.

Say A Prayer

Lord, let my eyes be your eyes. Let me look upon everyone I meet in the same way you look upon me--with love.

Did You Know?

Pope John Paul II refused to have a coronation when he was installed as the Pope. Instead he was installed during a Mass in Saint Peter's Square.
